- Comp #4: main computer.
- Comp #7: Backup.
- Plug power chargers to computers and turn both on.
- Plug Microphone; make sure the batteries are full bars.
- Connect VGA epiphany “Orange Box”.
- Plug power into VGA DA-UP-200 “Grey Box”.
- Plug projector into VGA DA-UP-200 “Grey Box”.
- Plug INPUT from VGA DA-UP-200 “Grey Box” into instructor computer.
- Plug instructor microphone in to main computer #4 and turn both on “microphones” before starting Panopto.
- Then open Panopto in both computers and set them up with the correct class name and lecture title.
- The Panopto on #7 is recording what #4 has, so make sure to select video source and choose VGA DA-UP-200 “Grey Box”.

  • When you name the class and lecture number in main computer #4, do the same with back up #7, but also add a -02 that way you will know which one is the primary and secondary on the Panopto main page.
  • Remember, on #7, you have to name it, for example, “ME231 Lecture 21 – 02”, “-02” is important because #7 is back up of #4.

- Check Audio on both computers.
- Turn on backup microphones.
- Open Smart Notebook in main computer #4.
- Prep to Record.
  • Check 3 microphones audio in both computers & back up!

After finish with the class and being in the control room:
- Go on line in to the Panopto site.
- Look for class and lecture that was just recorded.
- Go to actions column or icons to the right and select settings.
- Then a window will opened with the class name and lecture.
- Select Outputs.
- Go to video podcast and in the drop box select “Primary Video Only”
- Select download and in the drop box chose “Open with Quick Time Player”
- After video is open select beginning and end left over video.
- Then go to Edit and select “Trim Selection”.
- Finally select “save as” and save it in to the current drive to the correct class and lecture number.
